As homes–and homeowners–grow older, there is a strong need for home repair programs to help low and moderate income owners make their homes healthier, safer, more energy efficient, and accessible. Hear about how Philadelphia and communities in Northeastern Pennsylvania are meeting the challenge with a range of publicly-funded grants, non-profit provided services, and new loan programs for low credit score households. We’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities in delivering, and coordinating these varied services with occupational therapists and others, how home repair plays a vital role in preserving naturally occurring affordable homes, as well as maintaining local architectural character.
