C7: Supporting Students’ Educational Opportunities

This workshop will show how Pennsylvania’s education leaders are reaching out to partner with Continuum of Care (CoC) programs to share their experiences working with schools, pre-school programs, community agencies, and shelter providers to ensure educational stability. Participants will learn about changes to the McKinney-Vento Act per the Every Student Succeeds Act, how Head Start is recruiting young homeless children. We will highlight results from Philadelphia’s ‘Building Early Links for Learning’ project that increased the number of homeless children in high quality early learning programs.
