B6: Everything In Its Right Place: The Challenge of Coordinating Entry To Housing and Emergency Services In Your Community

By January 2018, every community throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania had launched a Coordinated Entry System (CES) designed to quickly identify, assess, refer and connect people experiencing or at risk for homelessness to housing and emergency services. The time for planning is done, but the challenges related to implementation of Coordinated Entry have only just begun. This workshop features CES leaders from four communities in Pennsylvania who will share lessons learned and innovative solutions including collaboration, prioritization, using data, meeting the needs of vulnerable populations and building financial sustainability.

Moderator: Jason D. Alexander, MPP, Principal and Co-Founder, Capacity for Change, LLC

Speakers: Ja’Von Clark, Western PA CoC Coordinated Entry Liaison, Lawrence County Community Action Partnership; Zenayda Alicea, Coordinated Entry Regional Manager, Third Street Alliance for Women & Children; Wendy Stivers, CHART Manager, Tabor Community Services
