B3: Understanding Your Community: Importance of Data-Driven Decision Making & Data Accessibility in Fighting Blight

This workshop will engage participants in methods to use data to drive decision making on the best ways to address vacancy on a block-specific or neighborhood-specific level with a focus on utilizing data to inform code enforcement strategies. Examples will include the use of data to give spatial context to a spreadsheet of housing violations that can enable users to understand the bigger picture of how blight aligns with crime and demographic data.
