A6: Innovative Collaborations: Targeting the Intersection of Behavioral Health and Housing

When systems work together it creates better housing opportunity and supports for those in our communities with the most barriers to housing. Come and hear how both Allegheny County and Beaver County are utilizing the SAMHSA’s Cooperative Agreements to Benefit Homeless Individuals (CABHI) to align local cross system resources to better identify, assess, serve, and support those with the most complex barriers to housing. This workshop will focus on components of both programs that can be replicated to help create effective collaborations and move people from homelessness to home.

Moderator: Diane Johnson, H2O Project Coordinator, Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health

Speakers: Anne Kainaroi, Diversion and Service Specialist, Community Human Services; Selenna Moreland, Director, ROOTS INC., Gabriel S. Krivosh, Program Supervisor, Allegheny Link, Allegheny County Department of Human Services.
