A4: Creative Place-Making: A Case Study in Neighborhood Revitalization

New Kensington CDC in Philadelphia successfully revitalized its neighborhood and then turned its attention to a neighboring distressed community. This panel will present NKCDC’s plan and results as a case study in neighborhood revitalization, in a community full of challenges. It recently completed its linchpin housing development, Orinoka Civic House, and continues its work on many fronts in the neighborhood.
