A1: New Market Tax Credits as a Community Revitalization Tool

The session will focus on the intricacies of this innovative financing model and the use of multiple financing sources. Currently under construction in two phases, New Market West is a mixed-use development that will transform a 1.5 acre vacant site in West Philadelphia and is a key component of the neighborhood’s revitalization strategy. Phase One is a 135,700 square foot LEED commercial/retail building anchored by Horizon House and ACHIEVEability with early childhood education, retail and parking; Phase Two includes 41 affordable apartments.
